Dr. Bruce Luong
Dr. Bruce Luong was born and raised in Kansas, where he graduated from The University of Kansas with a Bachelor Degree in Human Biology. Rock! Chalk! Jayhawk! From there, Dr. Bruce earned his Doctorate of Optometry from The University of Houston College of Optometry.
During his training, Dr. Bruce attended an internship at the Indian Health Services in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he provided eye care to the Native American population in that area. In addition, Dr. Bruce has also interned at Casa de Amigos Clinic in Houston, Texas where he continued to hone his skills to provide eye care to a diverse patient population. Dr. Bruce has treated and cared for diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, uveitis, along with other ocular diseases.
When he's not providing quality eye care to his patients, Dr. Bruce enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. They enjoy traveling the world and exploring new and exciting things. Dr. Bruce is a “foodie” and will always try something at least once! He also enjoys video games, fishing, snowboarding, and spending time with family and friends.
From his experience of managing and operating Bruce Luong OD & Associates along with a partnership at KL Vision Associates, Dr. Bruce Luong is excited to use the knowledge that he has acquired through his experiences to provide the utmost quality of eye care along with his younger sister, Dr. Jessica Luong to their patients at Framed Eyecare
Dr. Jessica Luong
Dr. Jessica Luong was born and raised along with her older brother, Dr. Bruce Luong, in Garden City, Kansas and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology at the University of Kansas in 2008. Although it was not planned for the siblings to pursue the same profession, Dr. Jessica followed in her older brother's steps and completed her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2012.
During her time at UHCO, Dr. Jessica's awards and accolades consisted of the Benedict Academic Scholarship from 2008-2009 and the Coburn Academic Scholarship from 2009-2012, as well as having her Grand Rounds Report selected to be published in “Foundation for Education and Eye Research” during her fourth year. Dr. Jessica completed her internships at the Plaza Vision Center in Dallas, TX with Dr. Clarke Newman, where primary vision care services were provided with an emphasis on premium and specialty contact lenses for corneal conditions such as keratoconus. She also received training at Cedar Spring Eye Clinic (formerly known as Bridge Builders Eye Clinic) in Dallas, TX with Drs. Joe Deloach, Marcus Gonzales, and Zanna Krouch, where she was involved in the care and treatment/management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachments.
In her spare time, Dr. Jessica enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two daughters at the park, having picnics, and listening to live music. During basketball season, she also loves joining Dr. Bruce and friends in cheering on their alma mater, the Kansas Jayhawks – Rock Chalk!! Dr. Jessica has enjoyed working with her older brother in private practice the past 5 years and is excited to continue to provide exceptional eye care to their patients at Framed Eyecare!
